Australian Breath Clinic Lifestyle Quiz
Lifestyle is one of three main factors that can cause bacterial imbalance in the mouth and resulting in bad breath. As mentioned before bad breath is due to bacteria metabolising proteins and giving off waste products that smell. Most of the proteins occur already in the mouth and some occur in your diet.
The lifestyle quiz firstly examines you cleaning routine to see if you are collecting proteins in biofilms or coatings of the mouth. We specifically ask you questions about your teeth, gums and tongue. After this, the quiz will look at your medical history to see if bad breath is induced from medication you take or have taken. Or maybe due to illness you have had or currently have. We will then explore your eating habits, and look at what you consume for every meal. we are looking for different types of proteins, acids, sugars and carbohydrates you are eating every day. This is an in depth interview with you, the patient.
If you answer positive to any of these categories, we then delve even further, to find the root cause or issue. This quiz was developed by Dr Speiser at the Sydney Breath Clinic after treating thousands of patients and seeing common links and habits amongst Bad Breath sufferers. It is a major part in allowing our Clinic Dentists to determine if your bad breath is due to normal healthy activity or maybe due to something unhealthy like gingivitis or periodontitis. The Lifestyle Quiz is the quiz that Dr Speiser uses when he conducts an Online Halicheck with you. Online Halichecks are recommended for patients that cannot attend our Breath Clinics but still need that added help to ensure the KForce Treatment Program works to its maximum.
