Diagnosis of Bad Breath
About Dr Speiser's Australian Breath Clinic
Australian Breath Clinic started as a dental clinic based in Edgecliff Sydney Australia. Over the years the demand to consult with patients has seen the clinic move to becoming Australia's only Bad Breath Treatment Centre that can fully diagnose and treat most cases of bad breath. The clinic is limited to treating halitosis and taste disorders.

We have a close association with both Blis Technologies (a public company in New Zealand) as well as Otago University in New Zealand. This link allows us to develop cutting edge formulas with scientific backing and testing. Many of our discoveries have been published in the scientific journals. The clinic model is offered to all patients through our network of associated dentists, as well as being supported by Dr Speiser through the Edgecliff Clinic. At our Edgecliff Clinic, you are able to have a Halicheck Breath Analysis, as well as a full one hour consultation with the breath specialist. The core diagnostic tool we use is an Gas Chromagraph machine. The accuracy of readings is so great that that gas chromography is the gold standard for all researchers in the field of bad breath.

The Australian Breath Clinic began life in 1997 as BreezeCare; a company that sold other people's bad breath solutions. With an active patient database that offered continual feedback. BreezeCare began developing its own unique range of solutions in 1999. With bad breath having an obvious connection to nasal problems and dry mouth, BreezeCare made professional associations with Paedpharm (a developer of isotonic nasal sprays), and Aurora Pharmaceuticals (a developer of hypertonic nasal sprays), as well as Recaldent (a Melbourne University discovery for the treatment of dry mouth and tooth decay).

Australian Breath Clinic products continued to evolve and develop since 1999 at a rapid pace, and is now the premium professional bad breath product in Australia. In 2004 BreezeCare was approached by BLIS Technologies (a New Zealand public company with research backing from Otago University) to become the exclusive distributor in Australia of the BLIS K12 Streptococcus salivarius range of halitosis treatments. The BLIS K12 range of products has been branded as KFORCE for the Australian market. The association between Blis Technologies, Otago University and BreezeCare has continued to develop, with BreezeCare now participating in BLIS K12 ongoing research. BLIS K12 bad breath treatments have proven to be so successful that they have been featured on "60 Minutes" in New Zealand and "A Current Affair" in Australia as well as Today Tonight on Channel 7, as well as twice on Channel 9 "What's Good For You" a health and lifestyle show. Dr Geoffrey Speiser (the clinic director) is often featured in the national newspapers or on the talk back radio networks, for advice or comment on all bad breath issues.

Who is Dr Speiser
Dr Speiser is a Sydney University graduate with 27 years experience in the treatment of all dental conditions. He has a special interest in bad breath and halitosis.

Dr Speiser graduated in 1980 from Sydney University. He worked as a general dentist in Canberra for 2 years before opening two dental practices in Sydney's eastern and southern suburbs. These two practices were merged in 2003 in a new "state of the art" facility in Edgecliff, Sydney. The practice is centrally located on the train line, and is accessible to all of the Sydney metropolitan area.

Dr Speiser noted in his years of practice that many people suffer from the embarrassing condition of bad breath and halitosis, and that there were no treatments available for these long term chronic sufferers. In 1997 Dr Speiser began to associate with researchers to develop a breath system to help this embarrassing condition.

Apart from treating dental patients, Dr Speiser is also an advisor for Allexperts.com (an Internet site that offers free advise for health problems). He also personally answers questions posted on the Australian Breath Clinic web site. This web site achieves over 2500 hits per day, from people searching problems such as bad breath, halitosis, post nasal drip, dry mouth, sour taste and taste disorders, ulcers and sores of the mouth and tongue.

Dr Speiser also undertakes "breath consultations" at his Edgecliff clinic. In these consultations patients undergo personalised lifestyle examination, saliva quality testing, breath testing and dental examination (if necessary) to determine the best possible treatment for the patient. Such consultations are only necessary for patients that are severely chronic, or who might have associated medical conditions that may hamper treatment. Dr Speiser has been able to develop complete systems that are effective for the majority of people without the need or added expense of a personal visit.

However Dr Speiser has developed a network of dentists that follow the Australian Breath Clinic model. This enables patients that seek a personal consultation to visit a dentist in close proximity to them.
