Who Should Use A BreathGuard Starter Kit
If you are new to our program or have stopped using the program for more than One Month, then you should begin with our BreathGuard Starter Kit. BreathGuard Ingredients are best suited to Bad Breath or people that may have any gums issues past or present. This is because BreathGuard is very effective against anaerobic bacteria that cause Bad Breath. There are Two Stages to this Kit.
Stage 1 - 5Day Balance Treatment
The 5Day Balance Treatment is used in both the Balance and the BreathGuard Starter Kits. The 5Day Balance Treatment will remove the protein from the mouth that bacteria break down to Bad Breath Smells. Also the 5Day Treatment helps to change the pH (acid levels) of the mouth to discourage the re growth of the Bad Breath Bacteria. If you have any nasal or throat issues, such as a lump in your throat, a need to clear your throat, wake up with Morning Breath etc, then you should also add the Hypertonic Nasal Flush (SinoClear). If you suffer from a lack of saliva or you feel your mouth dries up easily, or you need to do a lot of talking, then you should add the Recaldent Xylitol Chewing Gum.
Stage 2 - 27Day Maintain Treatment
After the 5 days, your mouth is extremely clean. This is the best time to introduce the KForce K12 probiotics to the program. This is done through the 27Day Maintain Treatment. This treatment uses a discovery by Professor John Tagg from Otago University called Streptococcus salivarius K12. He found that S.salivarius K12 will live only on the tongue surface and can help maintain a good mix of bacteria that will promote fresh breath. In studies published at Harvard University it was established that patients with fresh breath and healthy mouths have a large percentage of S.salivarius as their natural mouth bacteria, whereas patients with Bad Breath have low levels of this bacteria.
Dr. Speiser and Australian Breath Clinic have developed this treatment to maximise the benefits of S.salivarisu K12. By using K12 every day to maintain your fresh breath we are able to reduce the amount of mouthwash you need to use in the treatment. Therefore in the Maintain Treatment you only need to use the mouthwash every 4th day to keep control over the bad breath bacteria. The rest of the time we allow the K12 bacteria to look after your mouth freshness. Dr. Speiser prefers the use of the K12 powder mouthwash as your main K12 source. This is because you are able to rinse and gargle with the mixture to ensure that the K12 can cover all parts of the mouth and throat.
After you finish the Starter Kit Dr. Speiser recommends that you continue to maintain the mouth environment with the BreathGuard Maintain Kit described below. Each BreathGuard Maintain Kit is designed to last One Month.

If you have completed the BreathGuard Starter Kit then you should maintain yourself with our BreathGuard Maintain Kit. Each kit lasts One Month and is designed to be used instead of your store bought products. The Maintain Kit helps to keep a good bacterial balance to fight bad breath. BreathGuard Pre Rinse
Use the rinse every 4th day to keep the levels of Bad Breath Bacteria low. The BreathGuard Pre Rinse is an activated chlorine dioxide mouthwash. You can mix and use the Pre rinse straight away, or for a stronger more effective rinse, allow the mixture to stand in the sealed mixing vial for 5minutes. BreathGuard Cleaning Gel
This cleaning gel is designed to be a non foaming gel. BreathGuard Gel is used sparingly without added water, so one tube will last a full month. You only need to use a pea size amount of gel for each application. BreathGuard Cleaning Gel is used as a replacement for your normal toothpaste. The non foaming formula allows you to clean to the very back of the Gag Reflex so that you can remove the collection of protein that builds there and is broken down by Bad Breath Bacteria. We have designed BreathGuard Gel to leave a fresh clean taste in your mouth, with no nasty chemical aftertaste.
BreathGuard Powdered Mouthwash with K12
Each bottle of BreathGuard Powder mouthwash contains 36 doses of K12 powder. Use the spoon that came with your Balance Starter Kit to dose one level spoonful with 5mL to 10mL of water. Then rinse and gargle with the K12 mouthwash for a minute. This will ensure that you get your daily dose of K12 to help fight Bad Breath Bacteria.
Who Should Use BreathGuard Day Kit or Lozenges
BreathGuard Day Kit contains One BreathGuard Gel, One BreathGuard Lozenges and One Orasweet Tongue Cleaner. Usage is very simple. After eating lunch, clean your mouth with the BreathGuard Gel and Orasweet Tongue Cleaner as you do every morning. Then pop a Vanilla Flavoured BreathGuard Lozenge into your mouth and allow it to slowly dissolve on the tongue. This will help to keep your levels of S.salivarius K12 at high levels throughout the whole day.
BreathGuard Lozenges can also be bought by themselves for those of you that do not want or need the BreathGuard Gel or Tongue Cleaner. Each bottle of BreathGuard Lozenges contains 36 Vanilla Flavoured Fresh Breath Lozenges with S.salivarius K12 as the active ingredient. You can suck one or two lozenges every day as needed to top up your mouth supply of S.salivarius K12.
Who Should Add The Extra Options
SinoClear Hypertonic Nasal Flush
Research at Australian Breath Clinic in Sydney has shown that a lot of cases of Bad Breath are due to anaerobic bacteria breaking down the proteins in throat mucous. This throat mucous collects behind the gag reflex, so the only way to remove it is by flushing hypertonic saline solution through the nose.
